Responsible Play & Support (NZ)
Guidance and support for players in New Zealand. If you feel unsafe or at immediate risk, call 111.
Play within limits
- Set a budget and time limit before you start; stop when you reach either limit.
- Don’t chase losses and avoid trying to win back money by continuing to play.
- Take regular breaks; avoid playing when tired, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Keep it balanced with other activities, and talk to someone you trust if play stops feeling fun.
- Age: if you are under 21, do not use gambling products or features intended for adults.
Time-out & self-exclusion
- 1) Use any in-product Responsible Play / Account controls to pause play or set limits (time, spend, deposits).
- 2) If you want us to help restrict access, email contact@socialarcadenz.com with “Time-out” or “Self-exclusion” in the subject. Include the email/username on the account and the duration requested.
- 3) If you think you may be experiencing gambling harm, contact a specialist service below.
Self-exclusion/time-out is a harm-minimisation tool. It may not stop access via new accounts or third parties outside our control.
Warning signs
- Spending more time or money than planned.
- Hiding play or arguing about it with whānau/friends.
- Borrowing money, missed bills, or financial stress.
- Feeling anxious, guilty, or unable to stop.
